Our mission is to better prepare young people to be productive members of society. We do this by helping them to apply the USAF Core Values of; Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do, to all aspects of their daily lives. By blending aerospace science, physical wellness and leadership/life-skills training into a seamless classroom environment, JROTC cadets better themselves as they contribute to their local community and prepare for their futures.

PURPOSE:

To provide cadets with a four-year program which will explore civilian and military aviation and aerospace science and industry.

OBJECTIVES: ·

To instill self-discipline, respect for authority and a desire to excel through teamwork and mutual support.

To provide cadets, through classroom academic instruction, a balanced education in aerospace science while successfully meeting all necessary graduation requirements. It counts as one of your Physical Education requirements (although you do need to take another elective for credit) but it allows you to belong to any of the HSHS Magnet Programs or majors programs simultaneously.
If you start as a freshman (you must be at least a level 3) and successfully complete each year (through your junior year), you will then qualify to enter any of the US military services as an E-3 versus an E-1. What does this mean?..... How about almost $200 more per month and two ranks higher than another recruit who did not do JROTC! Not bad eh?
Also, if you are college bound and have the grades to be competitive for scholarships, as a JROTC cadet you are eligible for separate scholarships available to only JROTC cadets. Imagine being part of only 10% of those applying for college who can apply for a scholarship... cuts the odds down considerably doesn't it?

ASI

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Aerospace Science Classes

There is no abstract available for this page revision.
